Pastor David Baker
Pastor David Baker attended Northwest University for a Bachelor’s of Arts in Pastoral Ministries. He then went on to obtain a Masters of Divinity from Vanguard University and a Master in Theology from Fuller University.
From there he taught at Vanguard University and then was Dean of the Chapel at Northwest University.
Then he moved to Deer Lodge and has served as our pastor since June 2002.
He is married to his wife Jana Baker and they have 4 children and 3 sons-in-law - Joelle Hunsaker and her husband Brian, Jaclyn Baker, Jordan Baker-Friend and her husband Tyler, and Jaime Basher and her husband David.
Pastor Shani Connors
Pastor Shani Connors attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie Tx for a BA in Church Ministries. She has continued her studies for a Master of Education.
She has served in many capacities in ministry including Worship Pastor, Women’s Ministries Pastor and served as the Principal of First Assembly Christian Academy in Leesville, LA.
She and her husband Shawn Connors felt called to move to Deer Lodge from Louisiana and have been serving on staff since October 2018.
She and her husband have two adult children, Ian and Kaitlyn.
Worship Director Jana Baker
Jana, wife of Pastor Baker, attended Vanguard University for a Bachelor’s of Art in Religion. She has since worked in the President’s offices at both Vanguard and Northwest Universities.
Currently, she is Vice President of First Security Bank of Deer Lodge and graciously donates her time as worship director here at the church.
